A proud member of BAFTS Fair Trade Network, Siesta was started in 1983 by Chris and Les Harper selling handicrafts they’d picked up on their travels from Mexico and Guatemala. They now have a shop and wholesale business located in Canterbury & import a wide range of clothing, accessories, gifts and musical instruments.
Most of their suppliers are small family businesses that they have built up long-lasting relationships over 30 years. They try to ensure that raw materials come from renewable resources, many natural products such as wool and wood, and agree on prices (and pay for orders) in advance. They do not allow exploitation of child labour or gender discrimination.
We love their bright, colourful unique designs & their originality. Most of the textile are unique with differing colours, shapes and patterns, and the rainbow scarves & gloves we sell are a big hit each Winter!
Whilst the majority of our deliveries are made within the time scales specified, there are a small number of delays in some areas of the country due to the increase in parcels posted and staff shortages due to the pandemic. Standard delivery costs either £1.50 or £3.50, depending on your order, and is sent using Royal Mail 2nd Class Post. We usually despatch same or next day, depending on the time of your order, so you can expect to receive your parcel between 4 & 6 working days. If you need your parcel a little quicker, we can send it 1st Class Post - this costs £4.50 (or £2.25 for a smaller order). Standard postage is free for orders over £50. p>
Prices will vary depending on where you live. All parcels are sent via Royal Mail track & trace service. Please be aware that items can take a couple of weeks to arrive. There may be customs fees to pay in the EU as a result of Brexit – please only order if you are happy to pay these.
We will accept most items returned to us, undamaged & in its original packaging within 14 days. For hygiene reasons, we regret that we cannot accept returns on earrings, or any soaps/deodorants/shampoo bars etc if opened. If your item arrives damaged, please contact us at email@example.com.
